Dear Midterms week,
This one is already turning out to be rough. I don't like you. I just want to go to PCB... now.
Love, Melissa
Lord, I need you to get me through. I'm really struggling right now... I'm tired, I'm exhausted, and my head's been hurting a lot. Help me to rest in you. Help me know that my soul can rest in you, amidst life's craziness. I know this in my head. Help my heart to know this, and to rest in you.
"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him." -Psalm 62:5

Melissa,
I found your blog because we have a Brennan Manning book in common. I have been so blessed with stopping by. :) I love music, and the songs you shared have been a couple that I have just recently fallen in love with. I love how you shared Scripture with "My Beloved". I do that with songs in my head as well, but it was wonderful to read those alongside each line.
Praying for you during midterms, I hope things have been better since you wrote this post. I know this in my heart. Help my heart to know this...
Oh how I know this prayer--there are so many truths we know, but we pray our hearts to grasp it truly.
Do not be anxious, dear--by prayer and petition, present your request and then let His peace guard your heart and mind. (Phil 4)
I love the thought of His peace being the guardian of our heart and mind.
Grace and peace, sister,
Jen
